Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Prompt Cellar ("the Service"), operated by Welded Anvil Technologies LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Account and Authentication

Accounts are secured using passkey (WebAuthn) authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your passkey devices. We do not store passwords. If you lose access to all registered passkey devices, you may permanently lose access to your account and encrypted data.

4. The Service

Prompt Cellar provides automatic capture, encrypted storage, search, and organization of AI prompts sent through supported CLI tools (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, and others). The Service includes:

• Prompt capture via CLI hook integration
• Zero-knowledge client-side encryption
• Encrypted search indexing
• Session timeline and context file storage
• Collections and prompt templates (paid plans)

5. Subscriptions and Billing

The Service offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

• Free: 100 prompts, 30-day retention
• Starter ($5/mo): 1,000 prompts, unlimited retention
• Pro ($20/mo): 10,000 prompts, unlimited retention
• Ultra ($50/mo): 100,000 prompts, unlimited retention

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal. Upon cancellation, you retain access to paid features through the end of your current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Price changes do not apply to the current billing period.

6. Refunds

We offer a 30-day refund policy for paid subscriptions. If you are not satisfied with the Service within the first 30 days of a new subscription, contact us for a full refund. Refunds after the initial 30-day period are issued at our discretion.

7. Your Content and Encryption

Your prompts and associated data ("Your Content") are encrypted client-side using AES-256-GCM before being transmitted to our servers. We store only encrypted ciphertext. We cannot read, access, or decrypt Your Content.

You retain all ownership rights to Your Content. We claim no intellectual property rights over it. You are solely responsible for the content of your prompts and for maintaining access to your encryption keys.

Important: Because encryption is zero-knowledge, we cannot recover Your Content if you lose access to your passkey devices and vault credentials. You are responsible for maintaining backup access methods.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or authentication mechanisms
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
• Use automated means to access the Service beyond the provided CLI and API interfaces
• Resell or redistribute the Service without our written consent

9. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect availability. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in activity that harms the Service or other users. Upon termination, your encrypted data will be deleted in accordance with our data retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Welded Anvil Technologies LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free or uninterrupted.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
